Many Layered Blossoms Partial Die Cut

I’m having fun this month using the partial die cut technique. It’s a technique that makes simple unique cards.

Today’s card features an uncut label area where a sentiment can be stamped. I used the thank you sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!® Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. See more ideas using this stamp set here.

Partial Die Cut Card Recipe

A piece of Whisper White card stock (10.5 cm x 14.5 cm) has been partially cut using the Many Layered Blossoms die. This is done very simply by placing the top plate of the die cutting machine where you would like the label area to begin, then run the card stock and die through the die cutting machine. Turn the plates and place the top plate at the bottom of the label area. Run the card stock and die through the die cutting machine.

When the plates are removed there will be an uncut label area.

A metal ruler and craft knife is used to tidy up the label strip after popping out all the flower pieces.

Next stamp the thank you sentiment in Memento Black.

Finally, lay the Many Layered Blossoms die on top of a foam adhesive sheet and run through the die cutting machine. Adhere to the partial die cut.

The background of this card is Rainbow Glimmer Paper and it has been cut to display an Ombre look from yellow to dark pink. This paper is gorgeous! Layered behind the mounted partial die cut this card is so pretty.

I’m taking part in Kylie’s International Blog Highlights for December. I’m so excited to showcase my card amongst some amazing card artisans!
