What You Need

Stamps/Bundles: Quiet Meadow
Inks: Petal Pink, Mango Melody, Soft Succulent
Paper: Basic White card stock, Texture Chic designer series paper, Mango Melody card stock, Soft Succulent card stock, Petal Pink card stock
Other: Brilliant Wings dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Meadow dies, Bough punch, Multi-purpose liquid glue

Butterfly Thinking of You Card Recipe

Take a piece of A4 Petal Pink card stock, cut in half and fold to make a card base.
Put a piece of Texture Chic designer series paper 14.3 cm x 10 cm and another 10 cm x 10 cm.
Adhere 14.3 cm x 10 cm piece to the card base.
Adhere 10 cm x 10 cm at an angle to the top of the card base. Trim off the excess.
Die cut the Stylish Shape circle with the embossed squiggle from Petal Pink card stock.
Die cut butterfly using Basic White card stock.
Using the butterfly from the Meadow dies, die cut in Soft Succulent.
Punch boughs in Soft Succulent (twice), Mango Melody and Petal Pink.
Adhere the boughs behind the Petal Pink circle.
Adhere the small butterfly to the large butterfly and then glue to the centre of the circle.
Where the top layer of designer series paper comes to a point, adhere the decorated circle.
Decorate the inside of your card: Cut a piece of Basic White card stock 14.3 cm x 10 cm and decorate with Quiet Meadow dottage and flowers, using Soft Succulent, Mango Melody, Petal Pink and Soft Suede (stamped off three times).

Watercolour with markers Blackberry Bliss

Today’s card features a technique of watercolour with markers using Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers. I haven’t shown a watercolour card on the blog for a long time! The last one I could find was this gorgeous mermaid card.

What you need

The Blackberry Bliss colour from Stampin’ Ups!® Regal colour family is our focus and I colour coordinated with a Fresh Freesia card base and layer. The layer has been decorated with a Soft Succulent and Basic White label. Die cut flowers from the Meadow dies have been water coloured with Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write markers. The card is finished with a retired Blackberry Bliss ribbon.

Watercolour With Markers Card Recipe

It really is an easy card to make. Follow the instructions below.

Begin with a Fresh Freesia standard card base.
Cut a 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm Fresh Freesia card stock layer.
Using the Tailored Tags dies, cut the largest die from Basic White. Adhere to a larger piece of Soft Succulent and trim to shape of label.
Die cut three of the same flower from the Meadow dies, using watercolour paper. Cut stems to desired lengths.
Watercolour with markers: Using a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write marker, randomly swipe colour onto the flower. Use a water painter to brush over the colour, spreading the colour to the tips of the petals, as it bleeds from the water.
Use a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write marker to randomly apply colour to the leaves and stem. Repeat with a water painter.
Allow to dry or use a heat gun to speed up the process.
Adhere the flowers to the tag.
Cut a 15 cm length of ribbon and a 20 cm length of ribbon. Adhere the ends of the ribbon to the rear of the Fresh Freesia card front. Tie on the right side.
Stamp sentiment just above the ribbon.
Adhere the tag to the card front over the ribbon and then adhere to the card base.
Complete your card with a stamped sentiment on the inside of your card.

Die Embossed Parakeet Party Hello Card

What you need

The parakeet party colour from Stampin’ Ups!® 2022-2024 in-colour family is our focus and I have gone with a Basic White card, layered with Parakeet Party patterned paper, a die embossed Basic White layer using the flower die from the Meadow dies and white heat embossed black label. The card is finished with a black butterfly cut using the Meadow dies.

Die Embossed Parakeet Party Card Recipe

It really is a simple card to make. Follow the instructions below.

Begin with a Basic White standard card base.
Cut a 9.5 cm x 14.8 cm Parakeet Party patterned paper layer.
Cut a cm x cm basic white layer.
Die cut the edge of the white layer with the circle page edger from the dies.
Using the flower from the Meadow Dies and these die embossing instructions, emboss the white layer.
Cut a cm x cm black label.
Using white embossing powder, heat emboss the sentiment onto the black label. This hello is from stamp set.
Die cut the butterfly from black card stock using the Meadow dies.
Assemble your card.
Centre then adhere the Parakeet Party patterned paper to the card base.
Adhere the black label to the bottom of the white embossed layer.
Foam mount the white layer over the Parakeet Party patterned paper.
Adhere the butterfly to the front of the card.

How To Use Dies To Emboss A Thank You Card

I had a play with the Brilliant Wings dies recently to figure out how to use dies to emboss a thank you card.

Today’s card features die cut labels from the Waves dies, die cut leaf image from the Meadow dies and a stamped and die cut butterfly from Brilliant Wings. I used the thanks sentiment from the Stampin’ Up!® Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set.

How To Use Dies To Emboss Card Recipe

A piece of Basic White card stock (10 cm x 14.3 cm) has been run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using Plate 1 and Plate 3 together. The die is placed onto these plates cut edge facing up, then the card stock is positioned over the die. Lay the silicone craft mat over the cardstock and die and complete the sandwich with Plate 3 on top. Run this sandwich through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

When the plates are removed there will be an embossed image of the die and no cut.

On an acrylic block apply a few dabs of Calypso Coral ink from the ink pad. Beside this on either side of the Calypso Coral ink, apply a few dabs of Parakeet Party and then a few dabs of Starry Sky. Using a spritzer spray lightly with water.

Ink up a butterfly image with this mix, by lightly pressing a stamp onto the inks. DON’T move the stamp around too much!

Press the stamp onto Basic White card stock and cut using the co-ordinating die from Brilliant Wings.

Cut a leaf image and the large label from Parakeet Party card stock. Cut the small label from Basic White.

Ink only the ‘thanks’ word of the sentiment from Celebrating Sunflowers in Parakeet Party and stamp onto the small Basic White label.

Foam mount the small Basic White label onto the Parakeet Party label and adhere to the bottom left side of the embossed card front. Adhere foam mount to the butterfly thorax and adhere to the stem of the leaf, then adhere the leaf to the card front in desired position.

Finally, foam mount the card front and adhere to the card base.
