I always look for versatility in any stamp set I buy and I love that I can make gift tags using Ornamental Envelopes stamp set. Check out how I used the bauble image to make a unique closure on a small gift box. Using the hanging bauble image I stamped onto three pieces of 2″ wide piece of Whisper White card stock in Garden Green and then in Real Red on three more pieces. Tip: Round the top corners of the Whisper White card stock.
Next I stamped the image three more times in Garden Green ink onto Whisper White card stock to be run through the die cutting machine with the Envelopes dies. Repeat with images stamped in Real Red.
After that I glued the Garden Green stamped image onto 2″ wide pieces of garden green and the Real Red stamped image onto Real Red card stock.
Finally, using mini dimensionals mount several of the die cut bauble images onto the stamped bauble image. Note that I used Real Red images on the Garden Green stamped image and visa versa.
Colour basic pearls with Stampin’ Blends!
For the red pearls, I used a Real Red Stampin’ Blend to colour them. The green pearls were coloured with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend. You can do an endless amount of creativity with Stampin’ Blends. I love this!
To finish of my tag I positioned the top of the tag inside the Label Me Lovely punch and punched the top of the tag. Next I punched the ribbon opening using the Label Me Fancy punch. A great alternative if you don’t have a tag topper punch!
A simple snippet of the vanilla open weave ribbon creates a softer layer to the tags, along with a red satin ribbon completing the tag. So simple. So easy.
