This January, I made a bold move—gathered ALL my stamp sets and labeled them into five giant boxes (yes, FIVE!). I thought I was simplifying my life, but honestly, just storing them in boxes made things worse! Every time I wanted to craft, I had to drag out all those heavy boxes…
The turning point: Smart sorting & decluttering
By June, I knew I needed a better plan. I started by labeling all my Stampin’ Up! stamp sets with bright green stickers for quick identification. Then I sorted my stamps into themed categories—like Sea, Animals, Christmas, and Words. I even asked myself tough questions:
- Do I love it?
- Is it similar to another set?
- Do I like the sentiments and fonts?
Say “Hello” to space
After thoughtful review, I culled 105 stamp sets—difficult but liberating! Now, those sets are stored in neat labeled boxes ready for sale. The remaining treasure trove? Organized in attractive baskets on just two shelves, all within easy reach.
I saved the last, trickiest part—the Word stamp sets—until the end. Comparing sentiments for uniqueness, font style, and size was tedious but so worth it. The clarity and confidence I feel now are priceless!
