Welcome to the Art With Heart Team Creative Showcase. This week the team are featuring projects using their favourite products from the new Stampin’ Up! 2020 – 2021 Catalogue. The new catalogue is full of amazing new stamp sets, some bundled with dies or punches. A variety of kits, papers and accessories complete the range of products you will see featured in this Showcase.
The new Celebrate Sunflowers bundle has inspired me to create some gorgeous cards using the 2020 – 2022 in colours. They are probably my most favourite flower as they are so easy to grow! When I lived in Geraldton years and years ago, I remember walking through a vacant block where they grew wild. In Esperance we discovered a nearby vacant block that also grew wild sunflowers! Sunflowers bring such happy memories! They remind that warmer days are ahead and they come in some amazing colours and sizes! I just love them!
My Science lessons at school this term focused on living things. Our class has been visited by stick insects and we watched seeds sprout and grow into plants. Sunflower seeds are a fantastic starter plant for the little ones. They can withstand a bit of neglect and when fully grown deliver up an incredible flower that invites further exploration by the children. As we wait for our sunflower seeds to sprout, I could not resist purchasing the Celebrate Sunflower bundle from Stampin’ Up!
Sunflowers in a Mason Jar
There is no stamping on any of these cards, instead I have used the Sunflowers Dies and new patterned papers using the 2020 – 2022 in-colours. Introducing Just Jade.
The Tasteful Textiles 3D folder embosses a piece of Just Jade card stock. The projects shown on page 11 of the 2020 – 2021 catalogue inspired this card. I fussy cut an image from the Flowers For Every Season patterned paper and using dimensionals adhered above the new Mason Jar shaker dome. Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend is used to colour the mason jar. Misty Moonlight looks AHMAZING on this next card, which uses a Sunflower cut from Bumblebee and Just Jade leaf elements. A project on page 13 of the 2020 – 2021 catalogue was the inspiration behind this card. The Well Written ‘Thanks’ die has cut Cinnamon Cider card stock and then layered on the new open weave ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim combo pack.
Hello Magenta Madness!
Did you notice the Gold Glitter enamel dots? Another gorgeous embellishment from Stampin’ Up that gives your cards that little ‘something extra’.
Eager Stamping Tip: Give your envelopes a little ‘something extra’ too! Stamp a coordinating stamp on the envelope. It’s a real treat to receive a handmade card with a little bit of pizzazz in the envelope!
Ready to see some more inspiration from the new catalogue? The next demonstrator to share her creativity is the very talented Kathryn Mangelsdorf!

What fabulous memories to go with your wonderful sunflower cards! You’ve inspired me to track down some seeds to give growing them a go – I am so not a gardener, but if they are ok with a little neglect, they may do ok with me!
