Welcome to the May Creative Showcase with the Art With Heart Team!
This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below. The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team. I love card sketches! They are great when you are short on ideas and need some inspiration. This is a great card sketch. Are you planning on getting crafty soon? If you want to play along, I’d love to see your finished card!
Post a comment with the link to your card and I’ll come and have a look at your fun creation!
Honey Bee Stamp set for any occasion
And here’s my finished card using the Honey Bee stamp set and dies. Available as a bundle or stamp set only. The Honey Bee stamp set and dies is now a Last Chance product, so be quick!
I have used the Golden Honey patterned paper which came free during Sale-A-Bration. Unfortunately this beautiful patterned paper is now sold out, but I have four Creative Paper Kits available. Click HERE to learn more about the Creative Paper Kits. Subscribe to be the first to know they are available!
My favourite part is the stamped beehive. To achieve this distressed look of the hive I dragged the stamp across the basic grey ink pad. This achieved a lovely textured look instead of it looking smooth.
Cut the detailed bees from gold foil paper. Then glue the middle of their bodies to the card but leave their wings free for a 3D look.
Eager Stamper Tip: If you like to have cards on hand, make a few in one crafting session that have no sentiments on the front. Then you can add a sentiment later. The Well Written dies and Word Wishes dies cut stunning sentiments for every occasion. Just cut a few, store and when you need a card in a hurry, grab one from your stash, add one of these die cut sentiments and ta-da, it’s ready to give.
Ready to see some more inspiration using this card sketch? The next demonstrator to share her creativity is the very talented Rachel Woolard
