Hi everyone! My son and daughter enjoyed using the Butterfly Creative Card Kit to make a birthday card and a Mother’s Day card this week…do you have your cards made?
Last week I returned to the classroom after two weeks of sleep-ins and lazy days crafting {bliss}. Before that we were in a strange few weeks of no kids at school due to COVID-19 and families isolating. I fully expected to start this term with on-line teaching but an announcement by our State Government halted this educational direction. So, now I am standing in front of 20 to 30 kids every day and I’m feeling a little bit zapped at the moment. I am sure routine will kick in soon and I’ll be bouncing from one class to the next again {smile}!
One afternoon after school, my own kids, whipped these gorgeous cards up for my birthday and Mother’s Day. Having a kit around makes card making so easy and quick!
Limited Edition Butterfly Kits
Everything you need to make these six cards are supplied in the kit (see photo below for a photo of the contents). The butterflies have been punched using the Butterfly Duet punch. The Butterfly Duet punch goes through card like butter and makes these gorgeous butterflies. Stampin’ Up! punches are so easy for kids to use and are great for strengthening fine motor muscles in their hands.
The papers are all from the Share What You Love speciality designer series paper (now retired) which is why this is a limited edition Card Kit. Once this kit has sold out, it’s gone! There is also a bit of glimmer and shine in this kit, thanks to a few elements made from gold glimmer paper (on sale now!).
The Creative Card Kit includes six thick Whisper White card bases. These are perfect for a sturdy, free standing card. The kids enjoyed using a butterfly stamp set to decorate the inside of the card using Rich Razzleberry ink.
I love that my son has taken a creative approach to making his card and changed a few things up! That’s what is so awesome about these kits, you can make exactly what the photo shows or you can be inspired by the example and make it your own.
My daughter is loving the creative card making kits too and I have been loving watching what she does with them.
Mother’s Day Card Optional Extra Supplies
The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped using the Special Celebrations stamp set (sadly retiring this month).
The Happy Mother’s Day sentiment was stamped using the Just Because stamp set (retired).
The kits do not include sentiments, so you can give a card for any event. Just add your own stamped sentiment from a stamp set you own or follow Eager To Stamp to find one you love! If you love this Special Celebrations stamp set you can purchase it HERE until June 3rd, 2020. You can purchase the black ink pad HERE.
{NEW} Creative Card Kits
A while back I made this gorgeous Pop Out Window butterfly card using the Beautiful Day stamp set (sadly retiring on June 3rd but you can quickly grab a set here before their all sold out)! You could easily use the supplies in the kit to make a pop out window card.
Creative Card Kits are something new that I’ll be featuring in my Eager To Stamp shop. They are so fun for making cards, using on scrapbook layouts or other paper craft projects. I am going to show you a wide range of ways you can use Creative Card Kits on this blog. So fun, I hope you enjoy! There are more Creative Card Kits coming soon! Look out for Limited Edition kits, like this one. There will also be other Creative Card Kits that will be available for longer periods of time. I can’t wait to show you!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend and enjoy Mother’s Day. It’s a little bit strange this year due to COVID-19 restrictions but I know that a handmade card would delight anyone, where-ever they are around the globe.
