I think the artist of this set has done really well. Simple and allowing room for creativity of the stamper! Speaking of which you’ll find 10+ simple and creative card ideas using the Tahitian Tide in-color to inspire your next crafting session in the Blog Hop below!
I am joining in with the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop with this Tahitian Tide boy birthday card.
What you need
The Tahitian Tide colour from Stampin’ Ups!® 2022-2024 in-colour family is our focus and I have gone with a Tahitian Tide base and layer. The layer has been decorated with die cut stars cut from the 2022 – 2024 In-Colour patterned paper. A Tahitian Tide frame has been mounted on top of the star layer. Inside the frame is a stamped boy coloured with Stampin’ Blends, holding a bunch of balloons. The card is finished with a Basic White tag and twine, stamped in Tahitian Tide.
How gorgeous are those stitched stars from the Give It A Whirl dies?
Boy By My Side Stamp Set Birthday Card Recipe
It really is an easy card to make. Follow the instructions below.
- Begin with a Tahitian Tide standard card base.
- Cut a 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm Tahitian Tide card stock layer.
- Using the Scallop Contours dies, cut the small frame from Tahitian Tide.
- Cut a rectangle from Basic White card stock to fit inside the frame. Adhere to the frame.
- Adhere adhesive sheets to the back of some Tahitian Tide patterned paper and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the stars from the Give It A Whirl set.
- Cut a label from Basic White. I used the label die from the Meadow dies.
- Stamp the boy in Basic Grey onto Basic White card stock.
- Colour the boy using Stampin’ Blends. I haven’t gone very heavy with the Stampin’ Blends as Basic Grey is not colour fast against the alcohol markers.
- Fussy cut the boy image.
- Stamp the balloon images from the Days To Remember stamp set in Tahitian Tide and fussy cut three.
- Randomly adhere the stars, covering the entire card stock layer, going over the sides as well. Trim the stars that go over the edge so everything is flush.
- Wrap white twine three times around the star covered layer.
- Assemble your card.
- Adhere the boy to the frame and one balloon with multi-purpose glue. Use a black fine line pen to draw a balloon string to the boy’s hand.
- Foam mount the remaining balloons and adhere either side of the first balloon. Draw balloon strings.
- Foam mount the frame to the star layer at an angle.
- Add twine to the label and tie a bow. Use a glue dot to adhere the label to the card.
- Inside the card adhere a 14.2 cm x 10 cm Basic White card stock layer. Adhere a strip of left over patterned paper to decorate and stamp your favourite sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. I am excited to explore ways you can save time and organise your card making supplies so that busy card makers like you can make more cards, more often. That’s what it means to be ‘eager to stamp’!
