I am joining in with the Art With Heart Team’s Colour Creations Blog Hop with this friendship card.
The Balmy Blue colour is in Stampin’ Ups!® Subtles colour family and is our focus for today’s hop.
I have gone with a simple card, using a cardstock layer overlapped by the Countryside Inn patterned paper, a label, ribbon and a few layers of leaves and punched flowers.
What You Need
- Stamps/Bundles: Petal Park, Sentimental Park, Night of Navy card stock
- Inks: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Versamark
- Paper: Basic White card stock, Balmy Blue card stock, Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper
- Other: Gorgeously Made dies, Petal Park Builder punch, 2-3/8″ (6 cm) circle punch, Bough punch, Balmy Blue and white ribbon, white embossing powder
Balmy Blue Friendship Card Recipe
- Begin with a Basic White card base (29.5 cm x 10.5 cm).
- Cut a piece of Balmy Blue card stock and Countryside Inn patterned paper 8.5 cm x 12.8 cm.
- Adhere to card base, slightly overlapping each other.
- Stamp Petal Park flowers in Balmy Blue twice and punch out.
- Stamp the large leaf image and the smaller cluster of leaves in Old Olive. Colour with Old Olive watercolour pencil and fussy cut.
- Punch the Bough image twice from Night of Navy.
- Create a banner label from a 7 cm x 2 cm piece of Night Of Navy card stock. Stamp with sentiment in Versamark, sprinkle white embossing powder over and use heat tool to set.
- Cut perforated edge in Balmy Blue from the Gorgeously Made dies.
- Layer the flowers, leaves and label over the circle and adhere to the front of the card.
- Unpick the Balmy Blue ribbon from the white ribbon, tie into a bow and adhere to card front.
- Adhere remaining flowers and leaves to the inside of the card.
Thank you for stopping by today. I am excited to explore ways you can save time and organise your card making supplies so that busy card makers like you can make more cards, more often. That’s what it means to be ‘eager to stamp’!
